NCE — Nice (Côte d'Azur) — Taxi Fare Guide
Official taxis wait at the dedicated rank outside both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport. These are the only vehicles legally allowed to pick up passengers directly from the airport rank; ignore any driver approaching you inside the hall. The rank operator is Central Taxi Riviera (Taxis Niçois), reachable on +33 4 93 13 78 78.
Unlike most French cities, Nice airport uses fixed flat fares to set zones rather than a running meter, so you know the price before you get in. The regulated 2026 flat fare to Nice city centre is €32, published on the airport's own website. Longer trips along the coast are also fixed: roughly €72 to Antibes/Juan-les-Pins, €85 to Cannes and €95 to Monaco.
These headline prices are daytime rates and exclude supplements — a small luggage charge and higher night, Sunday and public-holiday tariffs can push a centre trip to around €35–38. Always confirm you are paying the posted flat fare and ask for a receipt. Payment by card is normally accepted.
Ride-hailing apps such as Uber and Bolt operate in Nice and can be cheaper off-peak, but they must use a separate pick-up point and surge pricing applies during busy arrival waves. The tram line 2 to the city centre and port is a very cheap alternative at a few euros.
| Destination | Approx. fare | Time |
| Nice city centre / Old Town | €32 (flat) | 20–30 min |
| Antibes / Juan-les-Pins | €72 | 30–40 min |
| Cannes | €85 | 40–50 min |
| Monaco | €95 | 45–55 min |
| Practical tips: Use only the official taxi rank, confirm the fixed fare before departing, and budget a few euros extra for luggage or night/holiday surcharges. For short central trips the tram is far cheaper if you travel light. |
Fares are researched from official and public sources and are approximate — always confirm the meter or fixed fare before you travel.
