CDG — Paris (Charles de Gaulle) — Taxi Fare Guide
Official Paris taxis (marked with a roof "TAXI PARISIEN" sign) wait at signposted taxi ranks outside each CDG terminal. For trips into Paris, a government-regulated flat fare applies, set by prefectoral decree — drivers must charge it and cannot use the meter for these rides.
The fixed fare is €56 to any address on the Right Bank (Rive Droite, north of the Seine — Louvre, Champs-Élysées, Opéra, Gare du Nord) and €65 to the Left Bank (Rive Gauche, south of the Seine — Eiffel Tower, Latin Quarter, Montparnasse). The price includes luggage and up to four passengers, with no airport pickup surcharge on top. Journeys of roughly 25-30 km take about 45-70 minutes depending on traffic. Note the flat fare applies only to central Paris; suburban destinations such as La Défense or Disneyland are metered and cost more.
Ride-hailing is available: Uber, Bolt and Heetch operate from CDG's designated VTC pickup points, but their prices are dynamic and often exceed the €56/€65 flat taxi fare during busy periods.
| Destination | Approx. fare | Time |
| Right Bank (Louvre, Champs-Élysées, Opéra) | €56 flat | 45-65 min |
| Left Bank (Eiffel Tower, Latin Quarter) | €65 flat | 50-70 min |
| La Défense (business district) | metered ≈ €60-75 | 40-60 min |
| Disneyland Paris | metered ≈ €75-90 | 45-60 min |
Practical tips: Use only the official taxi rank and confirm your bank (Right or Left) so the correct flat fare applies; refuse touts offering rides in the terminal. The €56/€65 prices are fixed regardless of traffic, so they are predictable. Cards are accepted; a small tip (rounding up) is appreciated but not required. Fares are approximate for metered suburban trips and vary.
